World Political Map

The map we labeled in class should look like the one above. Make sure yours is completely labeled, and use it to study for our upcoming country quizzes. The best way to memorize these countries is to connect them with something else. For example, you can remember it's chilly in Chile because of the highland climate in the Andes Mountains. See the Extra Credit page for links to games you can play to help with your memorizing.

Monday-Group CRT---Retake the CRT as a group. Discuss best answers & why you missed certain questions.

Tuesday-Regions, Part 2
     We'll discuss an alternate way for how Geographers classify regions. Notes will be on the SmartBoard, and Frayer Models for the regions will be the Right Side Activity

Wednesday-Chapter 13, Sec. 1 Physical Geography of West-Central Europe
     Read as a whole class and take notes on pg. 122 of notebook. RSA will be a fan to represent the geography of West Central Europe.

Thursday-OCCT Diagnostic Test
     We'll be taking the first of our practice tests for the upcoming OCCT.

Friday-Chap. 13 Sec. 2 France
     Notes on the SmartBoard and a France drawing for the RSA.

Reminders:

• 7th Grade testing begins with English on April 17th. Geography testing will take place on May 1st & 2nd.

Tuesday-Physical Geography of the Mediterranean
     Read Chap. 12 Sec. 1 in class & take notes. Sketch Mediterranean + 3 sentence parent summary for RSA.

Wednesday-History & Culture of Greece
     Go over Chap. 12 Sec. 2 in class (PowerPoint). Take notes. Foldable for RSA.

Thursday-History & Culture of Italy
     Chap. 12 Sec. 3. Reading guide with a partner.

Friday-History & Culture of Spain & Portugal
     Chap. 12 Sec. 4. Read in class. Watch clips showing flamenco, Running of the Bulls, and Spanish futbol. No RSA today.

Monday-The Koreas Today-Read Chapter 27, Section 4 in class with a partner and take notes on pg. 106 of your notebook. Answer 7 questions from Ms. Loftin on the right side of your notebook.

Tuesday-Talk about the Koreas as a class and make sure students got the main points of what they read yesterday. Start "Inside North Korea" video.

Wednesday-Finish "Inside North Korea" video. Review for Thursday's test.

Thursday-Chapter 27 Test focusing on Japan, North Korea, and South Korea.

Friday-Notebook catch up day. Notebooks are due at the end of the hour!
